The webbing is the interesting part here: a 128 yarn double weave, 1.4 inches across, denser than the flat elastic used on most clip ons and noticeably softer against a shirt. It runs in a classic X at the back, with hand sewn PU leather at the joins. Four vintage bronze swivel snap hooks finish the ends. Denser webbing also holds its shape across the shoulder better than flat elastic does, and it is less inclined to curl at the edges over time.
