AWAYTR builds this pair on a 70 percent polyester and 30 percent elastic blend, one inch wide, with a Y-shaped back and leather detailing where the straps meet. The clips are metal with a plastic lining on the inside face, so they hold on to fabric without chewing through it. Four lengths are offered, from 24 inches up to 43 inches, and each of those adjusts further through its own sliders.

That length range is the point. The shortest size is cut for a baby of around six months and the longest fits an adult, which means a family can dress a toddler, an older child and a parent in the same design for a wedding, a christening or a set of photographs.
